POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Support Group Facilitator
Salary Range: Based on Experience
Location: Hoover, AL (Remote) and local in-person-Must Reside in Alabama
Reports to: Support Group Director
Job Summary
The Support Group Facilitator is responsible for advertising, promoting, and growing the attendance of the newly formed in-person support groups; developing a topic for each support group meeting and creating a slideshow to guide the group (for online groups); data collection and reporting regarding attendance and demographics.
Essential Duties
- Attend and facilitate online or in-person support group as scheduled;
- Attend online meetings with the Support Group Director as scheduled;
- Advertise and promote assigned support group (Wings will provide promotional materials);
- Grow attendance for assigned support group;
- Develop a topic and create a slideshow for each support group meeting (slideshow not required for in-person groups);
- Track and report attendance and demographics.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to provide timely response to email inquiries (within 24 hours);
- Ability to attend online and in-person meetings consistently;
- Consistent and reliable internet access for online groups;
- Appropriate, quiet, and private space to conduct confidential support group meetings;
- 1-2 years of lived experience with mental illness;
- Must be willing to identify as an individual with mental illness;
- Alabama Certified Peer Specialist-Adult preferred.
- If not already CPS-A, must be willing to complete 40 hour training within six months of hire.

- Local position for in-person groups
